WHAT IS PRP & PRF?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) are both minimally invasive treatments that create more than 1 trillion exosomes derived directly from your own blood! Your blood is drawn and mixed in a centrifuge to separate the platelets to give us the perfect plasma to stimulate your body's healing process and treat problematic areas naturally.

The main difference between the two is the preparation process of one's blood is slightly different, resulting in PRP being more fluid and PRF being more gel-like. PRP can either be microneedled into the skin or injected intradermally, while PRF is injected directly into the desired areas with greater volume loss. Both treatments provide amazing results and induce collagen synthesis, overall improving skin quality and texture!

THE MELASMA MAKEOVER

What is Melasma?

Melasma is a common skin condition that appears as those pesky dark, uneven patches on your face often thanks to hormonal changes, sun exposure, and/or pregnancy as a result of overproduction of melanin.

How can PRP help?

Although there is no cure for melasma, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy has been scientifically proven to treat melasma. Studies have shown TGF-beta protein (found in PRP) has a predominant role in the treatment of melasma by reducing the signal transduction of microphthalmia-induced transcription factor (MITF) which decreases activity of tyrosinase (an enzyme that controls the production of melanin) and melasma pigmentation. After 12 weeks of treatment with PRP microneedled and injected directly into the melasma-affected areas, subjects had no relapse, even after 3 months!

Our Melasma Package:

Beauty Candy crafted the Melasma Package which includes a series of 4 treatments of both microneedling and injections of PRP. This package is priced at $3,000, a savings of $400!
Otherwise, a single melasma treatment is priced at $850. We recommend completing all 4 sessions and spacing each session 3 weeks apart.
